Peddling to the Sea...
As the group gain cycling stamina, confidence and experience we are partaking longer destination rides, taking advantage of the great summer weather.
The first of these is to Hunstanton, broadly following the Icknield and then the Peddars Way.
On June 20th The Peddlers resumed their ride to Norfolk starting where the first stage from Ashridge College finished at Jordan`s Mill in Biggleswade.
The route involved several off-road sections taking in the RSPB Headquarters in Sandy and Wimpole Hall
and then onwards to Cambridge
We then proceeded then along the River Cam and cross country along `B` roads to Barton Mills.
The next ride will be from Barton Mills to Knettishall Heath (the beginning of the Pedders Way) and then stopping overnight in Castle Acre. The next day reaching the Norfolk coast our final destination. This final stage will be cycled in the late summer.
