Ride With Us

We organize regular rides every Saturday from the car park at Ashridge House starting at 9:00am and ending at about noon.  In the summer we take advantage of warm longer days to do evening rides normally starting at 5:00pm on a Wednesday.

Fundamentally all PP rides are about enjoyment and good humor.  You should finish a ride with a sense of achievement, tired but feeling well.  There is no speeding, racing, endurance tests or “leaving anyone at the back”. It’s not about speed or endurance but enjoying life, having fun and getting fitter.  Above all else safety is paramount.

Rides and riders are graded according to levels of fitness required and cycling ability to ensure everyone can complete the ride. The odd challenges are included to help build stamina but there won’t be anything the newest rider in the group cannot complete at least partially on foot.

It is perfectly acceptable to stop and get off to walk when things get a bit hard such as up a steep hill. On all rides the leading ride marshal will routinely pause at the top of steep hills or junctions for the group to come back together.  There will be a following ride marshal that will ensure you are ok and do not get detached from the group.

Rides are subject to change on the day by the ride marshals depending upon weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances.
